Montgomery Morrison Cothren : ウィキペディア英語版 | Montgomery Morrison Cothren Montgomery Morrison Cothren (September 18, 1819 - October 27, 1888) was an American legislator and jurist. Born in Jerusalem, New York, Cothren moved with his family to Detroit, Michigan Territory in 1832 and then to Kalamazoo, Michigan Territory. He was admitted to the Michigan bar and practiced law in New Diggings, Wisconsin Territory in 1843. In 1846, he moved to Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Cothren served in the Wisconsin Territorial House of Representatives in 1847 and 1848. He then served in the Wisconsin State Senator in 1849 and 1850 as a Democrat. Cothren served as a United States Presidential elector for Franklin Pierce in 1852. Cothren served as a Wisconsin Circuit Court judge from 1853 to 1865 and then from 1877 to 1883.
